Heroes starts tonight, and I am so excited. Although, I will have to wait until Wednesday to watch it. Troy doesn't like Heroes so I watch it while he is at mutual.

I Need a Pepsi!
I have been sick since Thursday. I have had a horrible headache, I am sick to my stomach, my whole body hurts. I feel like I have the flu, but I don't feel like I have the flu - I just feel horrible. I have been complaining to Troy all weekend about how horrible I feel. We were going to go out on Friday night, and I cancelled that. I basically slept all weekend. I feel like I have a migraine, but I don't have all my usual symptoms. So, this morning I am talked to Troy on the phone and telling him that I still feel horrible. Then I ask him - do you think this has anything to do that I bought caffeine free Pepsi this week? So I Google caffeine withdrawal and am get websites like caffeine dependence and overcoming caffeine addiction. I tell Troy - I am an addict! I truly thought that I was addicted to my soda, not the caffeine, and so the change would not make a difference. I told Troy that I have stopped drinking soda before - each time that I am pregnant I stop drinking soda. (Actually, I stop eating and drinking everything except for KFC mashed potatoes - but that is a different story). So, I guess that I never realized how sick that it made me, I just thought that I was sick because I was pregnant. OK, so here are the symptoms of caffeine withdrawal.
- Headache - Check, it feels like a freight train is trying to plow through my head
- Fatigue - Check, it looks like the freight train that is going through my head also went through my house. Remember my goal to keep my house clean so that I can rescued - it is going to have to wait until my head returns to normal. I will stay in the house and keep Drew by my side.
- Sleepiness/drowsiness - Check, I went to bed when the boys went to bed last night
- Difficulty concentrating - Check
- Work difficulty - Check, can this explain why my house is still in a uproar
- Flu-like symptoms - Check, I feel like I have been riding the freight train and am sick to my stomach
As I am reading this to Troy - he is laughing at me. I am an addict. So how does he help me, he brought me home I huge coke. Thanks honey. :) My headache is gone, and I feel like I am half way functioning again. I will try to kick my habit another day, today procrastination is going to my friend.

Oh Drew!
We have had some really nice weather this week. After we got the boys all bathed, I took Miles out on the balcony to practice his sight words for school. Miles and I are doing our own thing, and pretty soon we are joined by Troy and Tyson. We are all sitting up there watching the cars drive by, enjoying the nice fall evening, and Troy says "Oh, Drew!" Drew has closed the door and locked us out on the balcony. Troy says well at least I have my keys. Except that when he goes to unlock the door, our keys don't work in that lock. We had no idea that the lock upstairs was different than every other lock in the house, and we were never given keys to that door. Miles starts freaking out and crying. Saying just yell for help Mommy. I told him, Drew figured out how to lock the door, I am sure that in a couple minutes he will figure out how to unlock it. So we go back to our finishing our words, while Troy is trying to tell our precious two year old how to unlock a door.
Troy tried, I tried, Tyson tried, Miles tried - it is now a game. We are all huddled around the door, and Drew is laughing at us. He is showing us his horsey face, and pig face, knocking on the window and grabbing every car on the floor to show us. This is great fun for him - everyone in the family is his captive audience. Now Troy and I are trying to figure how to get off the balcony.
We were probably up there for about 15 minutes when our neighbor walks out. I felt so dumb. I'm yelling down at her "um....could you come in our house and let us back in? Our baby has locked the whole family - except him - out here." Thankfully she came and saved us - and waited until she back in her own house to drop to her knees, grabbing her stomach laughing. I am sure that we will be the talk of the neighborhood.
The other thing that I was grateful for - my whole house was clean. This is a small feat. My whole house is never all clean at the same time. But, since Miles was home sick yesterday, I didn't get my house cleaned. I cleaned it today and then took the kids and left, so it was still clean. I am so grateful for this since she got a complete tour of my house while I am standing locked out on my balcony waiting to be rescued.
New goal: Always try to keep my house clean enough that neighbors can walk in and give themselves a tour and rescue me at anytime. I am hoping this is not a trend with Drew.

Terrible 2's - Here We Come!
They are not always terrible. Entertaining - YES! Unpredictable - YES! Keep me hopping - YES! Someday I know I am crazy - YES!
I have re-nicknamed Drew to Taz. There is a wake of "Drew" everywhere he goes. He gets up, and take off for the morning and so do I. He is my: climb into everything (with a smile); dump everything in sight (with a smile); run faster than me (with a smile); copy everything anyone says (with a smile), outgoing, talks and flirts with everyone (with a smile); never gets weary, but sleeps good (with a smile); happiest, smiley two year old boy.
I know all of my boys have been are now very active, but Drew surpasses them. He has drawn on every wall going up the stairs and in all the boys room, but no one has ever caught him in the act. I have given up cleaning the walls, because I realized that in cleaning the walls I was taking off the paint and now the walls still look bad. (I wish my builder would fix my house so that I could repaint - but that is another story). I have also decided that he is part "stealth". I can be standing at the sink washing dishes and look over and he is standing on the kitchen table dancing in a puddle of left over food and drinks, when I thought he was upstairs. The other day I was talking on the phone and could hear him crying. I walked all over the house trying to find him. He was perched on top of his dresser (which is about 5 feet tall). He climbed up there to get a pacifier. I can't cook with him in the kitchen he will turn all the nobs on the stove, and tries to open the oven.
He love to be given jobs, (go throw this away, can you pick up these cars, go get a diaper....) He is the sweetest little boy, and loves to sit on your lap and tell you everything that the characters on Cars say. Instead of "hello" he yells "ka-choo". He loves his family and is the most excited person to see you when you walk in the door. Can tell you most of the kids names in nursery and start calling for them as you walk down the hall. Will pee in the toilet on command. Eats everything - literately! Is the best snuggles in the evening when the boys are in bed and he is getting his one on one time with Mom and Dad.
Common phase in our house right now: "Oh, Drew!" :)

I'm on the Mend
In June I hurt my shoulder knee boarding at Troy's family reunion. Since then I have been in a lot of pain, and missed out on a summer of skiing. I went to the doctor and was told that I torn my rotate cuff, and was told to not use it and see if it heals, or go in for surgery. I picked the not do anything.
It has been a long summer of recovery. But today, I went to yoga class and did the whole class without any pain. :) I think that I am on the mend - finally!

My Turn
Since Miles started school, Troy has been taking him to school and walking him into his class. Today Troy had to be out at a job before school started, so I got to take Miles to school. Tyson and Drew were still in there PJ's and had no shoe on, so I told Miles that we had go to the carpool lane this morning. He was upset that I couldn't walk into class, and was coming with all kinds of alternatives that I could do so that I could walk him to class. Alas, we drove into the carpool lane, Miles jumped out, and walked up to the cafeteria by himself. As I watched him walk away with his Spiderman backpack to his knees, walking up to school by himself, I started crying and cried all the way home.
I have decided that this school business is a lot harder on me than Miles. I miss my little boy all day. Everywhere I got, and everything I do, I am looking for Miles - it is habit. When he get home, I have missed out on the happy, bubbly Miles, and get the tired, grumpy Miles. I only get Miles for about 4 hours a day, his teacher and friends at school get him for 8. And when I ask him how school was, the only report I get is about recess or lunch.
