Is This Effective?

This is a common scene in our home. Drew with his diaper ripped part way off - or missing completely. But my question is - Do you think this is effective?

It is if you use it like it!

Official Start

We officially "opened" our pool. At least for the boys. I still think it is to cold to swim, but it doesn't bother the boys. They are so happy to be in the water again. Miles starts swim lessons in a couple of weeks, so I think he will be swimming without floating soon.

Baseball Boys

Miles came home from his practice tonight so excited because Daddy pitched him the ball and he hit it. He was so proud that he didn't need the Tee any more. So we went back down to the field so he could show me how he hit the ball.
Tyson of course also joined in the action.

I am proud of both of the boys on how well they are doing with their sports this season.

Whatcott Family Reunion Video

I made this video for Troy's family reunion. I emailed it out, but then I wasn't able to get it open right. So, I am putting this up for them, just in case not everyone was able to open it.

I Finally Gave In

The whole time we have had our boat, Troy has wanted to go on a night cruise. I don't like to boat at night. I think that it is dangerous, and I don't like the idea of going across a Texas lake at night with all the trees sticking up. Well, this week one of our neighbors invited us to meet them on the lake and go to dinner. There is a place on Lake Lewisville, (Sneaky Pete's where Troy and I had our reception) that you can drive your boat up to and then walk up to the restaurant. We a great time, I think that I may even let Troy talk me into doing it again.

Use Your Imagination

I know that these may look like the boxes from the cannery that sat in the middle of my kitchen for 2 days until I had enough time to rearrange the storage under my stairs. But to my boys they were boxes that unleashed their imagiation for hours. These boxes were Power Ranger Mega-Zords, Transformers, cars, boats and a train. They played with them for hours today. Then they all ripped and they didn't want them anymore because they were broken and only then, did they decide that they were trash and not a treasure.

I See in the Future...

Miles and I went to Kindergarten Round Up today. It was a fun day, and I am glad that they do this for the kids. Miles was so excited to go to school. When we got there, the kindergarten classes came out and sang us a couple of songs and then invited all the kids going into Kindergarten back their classes. Some fifth graders came to escort the kids to their classes, they were divided up by colored stickers that we got when we came in. That was the highlight of the day for Miles. They got to go class and have storytime and then do centers - so he can not wait for kindergarten now.

While he was gone to class, the principal oriented the parents. I have to say, I was a little saddened by the fact that I know my live is going to change forever in a couple of months. I will have a school aged child and will be joining the ranks with many other parents as we enter a new phase in life. Another first for me and Miles and we learn how to become a Mom and a child growing up.
