Finally!!

I think that it has only taken me a week, but finally I have a background, and a logo that match, and worked out size wise on my page. If you have been checking in on us lately you know what I am talking about. How do you like our new logo? Troy made it for me, I think that it is really cute. What do you think of our new look?

Up for a Game of Lego's

Troy's brother gave us a Lego game a few years ago. It is the boys favorite game. Miles can play it by himself, and Tyson could play it by himself if we could keep his attention for a whole game. So the boys were so happy to have a game night. It was a fun night playing with the boys. I have had a busy day, and I am now ready for bed.

The Sun is Shining

After a couple of weeks of cool weather and being basically stuck inside, we have had a couple of warm, sun shiny days. The boys have loved it! We spent Saturday playing tennis and playing at the park. Troy started to teach the boys how to play tennis, and they were doing such a good job at hitting the ball. I was very impressed. Drew was perfectly content to ride his bike around in circles around the court. Which did make it fun to play "dodge Drew tennis."

Today is our last day of warm weather. So we got up and got going early. Our first attempt to go to the park this morning was rained out. So we did a second attempt this afternoon. The boys had a great time. Hopefully it will be enough to last until we get our next little burst of warm weather.

Troy's New Toy

Well maybe it is not a toy - but it is for Troy. We decided that after Christmas we would start working on getting our media room/play room together. Troy bought new media chairs this weekend. He is so excited about them, and I have to attempt, that they are really nice to sit in while we watch movies. And we have watched our fair share of movies this weekend.

My Little Comedian

I really do think that Tyson is going to follow in his fathers foot steps and become a comedian. Here are a few of the examples of the last week.

Tyson is doing so good at using the toilet. I am really proud of him....I would almost say that he was easy potty train...but I would never say that out loud I still have one more to train. S o, Tyson has become fascinated with poop. He always wants to know what Drew diapers look like, and he wants everyone to know what his poop looks like. For example - we are in the bathroom and he tell me looking at his poop "that one looks like a dinosaur neck, and that one looks like a fish with no head, and that one is an island." Who would have ever thought that going to the bathroom was so entertaining and used so much imagination.

Today at church was Tyson first day as a Sunbeam. Thank goodness they put his in a class with one of my friends who we play with often, so she was some what prepared for him. They did more reorganizing today, and they got a new chorister. So the singing time was pick your favorite song. I guess that Tyson was very eager to be picked (probably jumping up and down yelling"pick me, pick me"), when he was selected he asked for them to sing "Life is a Highway" which is his favorite song from Cars. I think that I am going to have to work harder at teaching church songs.

The other thing that he did today was when he was asked what he wanted to be when he grows up. This was the open door that I am sure had been waiting. He announced that he was a Mystic Force Power Ranger. From that point on everything was Power Rangers. This could be interesting to see how Tyson ties church doctrine in to Power Rangers. Good thing that Drew is now in Nursery, I have a feeling that I may spending time in Primary attempting to control Tyson outbursts.

I am doomed - I got the child that Linda wished on me. Only problem, I have Troy also who I think sole purpose in life is to embarrass me.

New Years Resolution

OK, so I just tried to customize my background, and it totally frustrated me. I guess with practice it will become easier. I set my New Year's Resolutions - so I thought maybe if I put it on my blog I may actually stick to it longer than a week. LOL :)

The last couple of months (since I stopped nursing Drew) I have felt like I don't know what I am suppose to do with my time during the day. For almost the last 6 years I have either been pregnant and sick on the bathroom floor, or sitting on the couch nursing my baby. I suddenly feel free, and I know that there are hundreds (maybe not hundreds) of things that I should be doing, but I am stuck in the habit of sitting on the couch.

So, I set the goal to be better organized with my time. I decided that if I could become better at time management, all of the other things that I want to accomplish this year will fall into place. Plus trying to achieve one goal this year, is about all that I think I can handle with my busy boys, and right now I don't feel overwhelmed. I came across a website called flyladys and she basically has the idea that if you manage your time correctly you can "fly". So, I am going to become a "Flylady" this year. Hopefully by the end of the year I will be better at my time management and so much more organized and being flying through my daily routine instead of a couch potato.

Welcoming in 2008

I think for the first time since Troy and I have been married we had a fun New Years Eve. It seems like I have either been pregnant, the family has been sick or one of us has been a chaperon at the youth dance. This year year Troy was a chaperon at the dance, but they opened up the dance to the adults also. At church one of our friends said that would go with us. So we both pawned our kids off on our Mom's and went out for a nice dinner and then to the dance. The dinner was excellent!! We ate a Brazilian Churriscaria. The dance was fun also. Our friends Salsa dance, so they looked good out there dancing.....maybe we need to practice more. :)

We came back to our house to watch the ball drop and then ushered in the New Year with a good round of karaoke. I hope that a good New Year's eve is an indicator of a good year to come.
